Canadian government-owned Ontario Tech University (OTU) is a public research and higher education school in Oshawa, Ontario, formerly known as the University Of Ontario Institute Of Technology (OUIT). It was founded in 2002.
Canadian Association of Research Libraries, Universities Canada, and Canada's Bureau for International Education are some of its affiliated organisations. Additionally, the institution is affiliated with the Council of Ontario University Athletics and the Ontario University Athletics Associations.
Located in Oshawa, Ontario, Ontario Tech's main campus covers 400 acres and is the North Campus. A branch campus in the city's core, known as the Downtown Campus, is also open to students.
High-tech classroom facilities, apartments, entertainment areas and student support services are all located on the main campus. Over 80 specialised labs are housed in its research facilities, which are among the best in the world. Teachers and students may use the library's collection of research guides, periodicals, books, databases, and other resources.
