Since its inception as Queensland Institute of Technology (QIT) Capricornia in 1967, Central Queensland Institution (CQU) has been recognized as a full-fledged research university.
The institution changed its name to Central Queensland University in 1994. The institution grew and changed its name to CQUniversity later that year. Moreover, 30,000 students are enrolled, making it one of rural Australia's major universities. Students from more than 140 nations worldwide may take advantage of top-notch academic facilities.
In addition to Rockhampton, the institution has campuses in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Cairns, Bundaberg, Brisbane, and Emerald in Queensland. Not only that, but the institution also has several study facilities. The university offers research, postgraduate and undergraduate degrees, and short-term and certificate programs.
