University of North Texas (UNT) is located in Denton, Texas. It was once known as North Texas State University until 1988. 14 colleges and schools, an early admissions programme for outstanding high school students from around the state, the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science, and a library system forming the university core are all part of the Texas A&M System.
It took the state of Texas 11 years after UNT's founding in 1890 to fully accept the school as its own. The University of North Texas System, which has campuses in Dallas and Fort Worth, comprises UNT. Frisco, Texas, is also home to a branch of UNT.
More than two-thirds of UNT classrooms maintain a student-teacher ratio of 23:1. Business, management, marketing, communication, journalism, English, multi/interdisciplinary studies, and visual and performing arts are among the most popular courses of study in colleges and universities.
