    Georgia State University was founded in 1913 and is one of four research institutions in the University System of Georgia. Residence halls and centers are available for students to use on the University's campus. All of the necessary amenities for students are available on the site. On top of that, there are 550 student lofts spread over the building's 14 storeys. Lofts are available to students and their families if they desire to share a room. There are eating areas in all of the resident halls. On-campus, there is a calm atmosphere conducive to studying. Additionally, the school is located near several eateries and cafés. For the convenience of students, stationery stores, department stores, and pharmacies are all within walking distance of the University. The Atlanta campus of the University offers more than 250-degree programs in more than 100 academic specialties. In addition, over 30 associate degree programs are available at five sites and are the most extensive online program in the state. There are other research centers within the institution, including the Language Research Center, the Neuromics Center, the Behavioural Neuroscience Center, Advancing Brain Imaging, and the Diagnostics and Therapeutics Center for Molecular and Translational Medicine.
