There have been 50 years since the College of the North Atlantic (CNA) was founded as one of the major post-secondary educational and training institutions in Atlantic Canada.
Aside from the 17 campuses spread around Newfoundland and Labrador, the college has several partner institutions in China and formerly ran a technical education college in Qatar. The College Act serves as the legal framework.
On the west coast of Newfoundland's island, Stephenville is home to the College of the North Atlantic, which also has a campus in Bay St. George. The College of the North Atlantic educates almost 25,000 people in over 300 part-time and 100 full-time programs every year.
