Situated in London, the SOAS Institution of London is a well-known public research university. Because of its affiliation with the federal university, it is a part of the University of London. As the world's premier university for the study of Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, it was founded in 1916. The school is generally separated into three divisions, including the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Languages and Cultures.

Located in central London's Bloomsbury district, SOAS's main campus is home to more than 12,000 students. Brunei Darussalam's Sultan endowed the construction of the Brunei Gallery, which may be found there. It also includes 21-22 Russell Square, Faber Building, and the northern block of Senate House. Nearly every field of study is represented by the university's extensive list of bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree options.
