In 1875, the Glasgow School of Cookery, the forerunner of today's Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), was founded. With over 20,000 students from over 100 nationalities studying on its state-of-the-art campus, Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) is one of Scotland's most prominent and vibrant institutions. Membership in the Florence and Talloires networks is also included.

The GCU campus is located in the heart of Glasgow, Scotland, and has world-class facilities and a wide range of amenities. More than 270,000 volumes, 350 open-access PCs, and a wide variety of online resources are available in the Saltire Centre, which houses the university library and serves as a focal point for students.

The GCU Vision Center is located in the Govan Mbeki Health Building. On top of that, there's the ARC Gym and the GCU Clinic to check out. In addition, students benefit significantly from the on-campus housing and eating options. Over 600 students are housed at Caledonian Court, a well-appointed residence hall.
