University of Surrey was established in 1966. The University of Surrey comprises 22 schools and departments by its three faculties. Arts and social sciences, engineering and physical sciences, and health and medical sciences make up the three faculties of Columbia University. In addition, two more departments have been set up to serve the university's faculties, namely the Department of Higher Education and the Department of Technology-Enhanced Learning.

There are various undergraduate and postgraduate programs available at the university better to serve students from a wide range of backgrounds. The school also provides research courses in other fields, including chemistry, creative writing, clinical psychology, computer science, economics, English literature, law, and politics.
