The University of Alberta, popularly known as U of A or UAlberta, is a public research university located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Founded in 1908, the University offers several programs in undergraduate and graduate and master departments, hence considered as a "comprehensive academic and research university" (CARU).
The University has an enrolment of about 39,300 students, 7,800 international students representing 151 countries.
With five campuses distributed across the region, The University of Alberta is home to many local and international students. The five campuses of Alberta are North Campus, South Campus, Campus Saint-Jean, Augustana Campus, Enterprise Square. The University has to offer almost 18 faculties which are further divided into different schools offering students a wide range of courses to choose from. The University also offers a professional development course to let the students gain a better insight of the curriculum of the program they have opted for.
