    In 1883, the University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire was formed as Cardiff University. Located in the Cathays Park area, the Cardiff building contains the Cardiff School of Media, Journalism and Cultural Studies, and the Welsh School of Architecture.


    They are located in the Glamorgan Building in Cardiff School of Planning, Geography and Social Sciences. At the University Hospital of Wales, the Health Park Campus is home to various academic institutions. A medical school and a university are both located here.


    More than 33,190 students are enrolled at the institution, of whom 23,960 are undergraduates, and 9,230 are postgraduates, according to a Higher Education Statistics Agency study in the year 2018-19. Furthermore, there are 8,620 students from other countries.


    According to university employment statistics, 95.7% of recent graduates find work or continue their education six months after graduation.
