South Winnipeg Technical Vocational Centre was created to address the community's need for specialized and practical career training. It was renamed the South Winnipeg Technical Centre (SWTC), and the federal and provincial governments contributed roughly $8 million toward its construction. Several campuses are assigned to the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology (MITT). 130 Henlow Bay is the address of the main campus. At 7 Fultz Boulevard, there is a second campus. Carpentry, Graphics and Printing Technology, and Electrical Training are all available on this campus for anyone interested. There are six adult education facilities within the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology. Among them are CrossRoads Learning Center, Horizons Learning Center, Portage Learning and Literacy Center, St. Norbert Adult Education Center, St. Vital Adult Learning Centre, and United Food and Commercial Workers Center
