    SSC CHSL Exam Scheme

    The SSC CHSL examination comprises 3 Tiers of Exams for the vacancies / posts of Data Entry Operator, Lower Division Clerk, Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) and Court Clerk.

    • Tier-I Exam is Computer based Written Examination based on MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions - Objective type)

      • Multiple choice questions in English and Hindi in the fields of Basic English language, General Intelligence, Basic Arithmetic Quantitative Aptitude Test and General Awareness 

      • Each question carries 2 marks. There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. Answer Keys will be displayed on Official website of Staff Selection Commission’s website after written examination

      • Duration of the Exam: 60 minutes

    • Tier-II Descriptive Paper: This part of the paper is Subjective and needs writing skills. This is Pen and Paper based exam 

      • The performance in Tier II will be included for preparing the final result.

      • The paper can bewritten either in Hindi or in English medium but not partly in Hindi and partly in English.
