The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a National Level scholarship program in India to identify and talented students and provide them with financial assistance in the form of a monthly scholarship. Students studying in Class X are eligible to appear for the NTSE exam. The exam is conducted by NCERT (National Council of Education Research and Training) and is regarded as the most prestigious examination at high school level in India.
At Stage - I, selection is done by States/UTs. Examination at the State / UT level contains questions related to: (a) Mental Ability Test (MAT), (b) Language Test (LT) and (c) Scholastic Ability Test (SAT)
At Stage 2: Only those students who qualify Stage - I are eligible to appear for Stage - II examination conducted by NCERT. Questions in this stage are based on: a) Mental Ability Test (MAT), (b) Language Test (LT) and (c) Scholastic Ability Test (SAT)

What is NTSE?
