MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. MBBS is an undergraduate program, the most sought after course by 10+2 students who take up science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. The duration of this course is 5½ years, divided into nine semesters. After the successful completion of 4 and half years, the students have to take up a year long internship in the field of of medicine and surgery.
