National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main paper session1 for admission into B.E/B.Tech programs offered at various NITs, IIITs, Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) and other participating Colleges, Institutions, Universities, funded or private institutions recognized by participating state governments. JEE Main paper 2 will be conducted for admission into B.Arch / B.Plan courses. Students after meeting the cut-off qualification for JEE Main 2023 exam will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced to get admission into various IITs.
JEE Main 2023: Application Fees
The application fees for JEE Main 2023 has now been increased by NTA for General category students. General male candidates will have to make a payment of Rs 1000 for filling the application and the fees for females now stands at Rs 800.
JEE Main 2023: Pass Percentage
NTA has now re-introduced the 75% criteria for admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs.

10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised board
Pass Percentage for B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Plan in IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs
General category candidates: minimum 75% marks
SC / ST category students: 65%
OR, the candidate should fall under the top 20 percentile of the respective board he / she is appearing for
For B.Arch admission in institutes other than IIITs, NITs and CFITs
50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognised board
Subjects in the Qualifying Examination
The candidates should have qualified in 5 subjects:
Language (e.g. English / Regional Language)
Mathematics
Physics
Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational Subject
Any other subject
New Changes introduced in JEE Main 2023 Exam / Application Form
The minimum percentage in the qualifying exam is now 75% for general category and 65% for SC/ST
The total number of exam centers in India has reduced now to 399 in India for the JEE Main 2023
It is now mandatory for candidates to provide parent's email id and mobile number in the JEE Mains 2023 application form
